Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information WildSentry collects, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers wildsentry.com and the services we provide.

Information we collect

  • Information you send us. When you email us or ask for a free site check, we receive what you share — usually your name, email address, phone number, business name and website address.
  • Information we need to provide our services. If you become a client, we keep the access details you give us for your website or hosting account, billing details, and records of the work we do, such as updates, backups and scan results.
  • Business contact information from public sources. We may collect contact details that businesses publish themselves — such as a business name, website, phone number and business email address shown on a website or a public business listing — so we can tell businesses about our services.
  • Technical information. Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running.

How we use information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

  • To reply to messages and run free site checks.
  • To provide, maintain and support our services, including monthly reports and service notices.
  • To contact businesses about our services, with a simple way to opt out of further emails.
  • To keep our website and services secure, prevent misuse and meet our legal obligations.

When we share information

  • With service providers that help us run the business — for example hosting, email, backup storage and payment processing — only as needed for them to provide those services to us.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of WildSentry, our clients or others.
  • As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.

Marketing emails and opting out

Every marketing email we send includes a way to opt out. You can also reply “unsubscribe” or email hello@wildsentry.com, and we will stop within 10 business days. We keep a record of opt-outs so we don't contact you again.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Client records are kept for the length of our relationship and as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. Website backups are kept for the retention period in your plan. Opt-out records are kept so we can continue to honor them.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including limiting who can access it and encrypting it in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing emails, by writing to hello@wildsentry.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will respond to requests as that law requires.

Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will say so on this page.
